Cross Reserve Gatehouse

Originally built as a a set of gates to commemorate World War II, the Cross gatehouse was expanded in 1995 to also include information boards about the Memorial Cross Reserve.

Where is the Memorial Cross Gatehouse?

The gatehouse is located at the entrance to the Memorial Cross Reserve.

Memorial Cross Reserve

The Mount Macedon War Memorial Reserve was created in 1995 when the Memorial Cross was rebuilt.

Memorial Cross

The most significant war memorial in Victoria after the Shrine of Remembrance. At 21m tall, the cross is a truly amazing monument.

Vietnam Memorial

The monument commemorates those who served in the Vietnam War from 1962 to 1972.

Gallipoli Lone Pine

Major Mitchell Lookout

Named after the Surveyor General of the NSW colony, Thomas Mitchell. He also named Mount Macedon. The Major Mitchell lookout has great views to the West, and is a great stop on the way to the Memorial Cross.

Korean War Memorial

The plaque commemorates Australian service men and service women who served in the Korean War.

National Servicemens Memorial

The plaque commemorates those who undertook National Service in the Australian Defence Forces from 1951 to 1972.

Macedon Regional Park Summit Precinct

Harbison Picnic Ground

Located next to Top of the Range tea rooms. Harbison picnic ground has BBQ, and toilet facilities, as well as a large car park.

Historic Survey Cairn

One of only a few surviving original survey cairns in Victoria. Only a short walk from the tea rooms through Harbison Picnic Ground.

Located at the summit of Mount Macedon, the amazing tea rooms is a must visit for lunch and our famous scones!

Kurana Crash Memorial
