Friends Group update (17-May-2021)

It was a great working bee today. After a couple of fairly ordinary days weather wise, we were treated to a beauty. Clear blue skies, no wind, and an ideal working temperature.

Plus we had 8 magnificent volunteers, four of our regulars Ashley, Charles, Pierre, Ken, also great to see Dave & Marian who have not been sighted since September 2018. Importantly we had two new faces, Tony and Ben, great to have you on the crew.

Today we ticked off four tasks:

Planting and protecting tube stock near Harbisons Picnic Ground.
The team was Ashley, Ben, Dave and Tony.

Covering the footbridge near Sanatorium Lake with wire mesh.
The team was Pierre, Ken, and Rick from Parks Victoria.

Performing a trail audit of the Eco-trail.
The team was Marian and Charles.

Digging soil back from the edges of the garden beds in “The Cross” car park in preparation for mulching.
The team was Ashley, Ken, Pierre, Tony, Ben, and Rick.
